Masters Classic Relay

In ideal conditions 29 teams took part in the Classic Relay at Trentham
Memorial Park. In lap 1 John Wood just back from his win
in the NZ Duathalon champs came home ahead of Brian De Montalk and
Murray Corles. Good runs in lap 2 came from Paul Coles who took
the 250 team in to a good position. Scottish Harriers fielded too strong
a team to win the 200 age class easily from Valleys A.

John Houghton ran a fast last lap for the 250 age group so Valleys C
raced away to win the 250 age group. After John Wood's opening run
Bernie Ryan came home strongly to win the 300 age group. Valleys
6 teams ran well and all enjoyed the 20th Classic Relay.
