Wyatt named in NZ Squad Team
Jonathan Wyatt has been added to the NZ squad for the world mountain
running champs in Sauze D'Oulx, Italy in September.
The Valleys runner, currently preparing for the Athens Olympic
marathon in Austria, has been given the opportunity to try for a
fourth world title in mountain running, although the NZ selectors
are leaving the final decision as to whether to run up to Wyatt.
The Athens Olympic marathon is just a week prior to the 4 September
mountain running event at the Italian ski resort near Turin.
Wyatt won his third world mountain running title in 2002, the last
time it was an "uphill" event. Seaton Meredith of Auckland
has been named as the reserve for the team of six.
